Hiya!…and uh…nothing? you can sell what you like but you have to be aware of potential copyright infringement and the responsibilities if it arises. Some IP owners are quite happy for fans to sell their work, whereas others are very strict about it.

…yeah this is a big topic…and one I had to study in high school a bit…so uh.

As an example, I know Valve is strict about this. I had some of my Magical Portal parody designs up on RedBubble, all of which have been removed…except for the potato one…they’re happy for fans to create anything they want, as long as no profit is made.

I’ve heard of some companies who are quite happy for fans to do whatever, but the IP is technically owned by a larger company who does not approve. Can’t remember which though…

Some companies that own IPs are fine with it as long as you aren’t making massive amounts of money off it that threaten them, or pawning off your own stuff as official.

Then there’s the topic of appropriation, which is making reference to or parodying something. Back to my Magical Portal things, I thought they were close enough to parody, but evidently not. If I remember right, those pop-culture shirt design sites work like this. It comes under parody and the selling is limited.

Appropriation is a thin line between theft and parody, if done correctly it is an artistic statement and is generally fine to sell. If your work bares too much resemblance to the original work it is copying or theft.

I’m not sure what the SU crew’s stance is on this, or CN’s. I know they’ve been given stuff by fans who have also been selling stuff…but that doesn’t mean anything :\

IN SUMMARY…it’s a really weird and complex subject and doesn’t have a straight answer. For SU stuff I’d say you’re fine? but if it’s suddenly found that either the SU crew or CN are against it then be prepared to remove all of your related items from sale. So go ahead, but be aware of the nature of fan art sales :O

Goodness, thank you! I’d love to make more, but I borrowed a friend’s press to make them…and they’re currently overseas ^^’ So I have to find somewhere else to press them. But I definitely want to make more! both hand drawn originals and reprint duplicates (I can make more Garnets, but the GLADoS one didn’t scan well).

Might also take batch commissions for them if I can, I’m also working on a new set of badges with birds~ gotta get them pressed as well :D

Hiya, generally I use Photoshop CS6, PaintToolSAI and TVPaint. Each of those links to where you can get them :) I think you can also buy Photoshop and other Adobe programs from some computer stores…I’m not sure though cause I have CS6 not CC, so it may be different now.
