PS4 R&C was my intro to the franchise and I loved it. Every time I thought I was having the most fun possible in a video game, it would do something like give me a jetpack and the fun would quadruple. I thought Clank was so cute, the comedy was great, and the environments were beautiful. It got me to play the entire rest of the series and even buy a PS3 to do so, so it definitely did something right for me. I know it has problems now but I have a real soft spot for it. :)
AHH that’s awesome to hear! I’m so glad it got you into the series ; O ; hot damn and enough to get a PS3?!
that’s kind of the vibe that I got, that even if it was a bit different from the other games, new players overall liked it. Like I’ve got my issues with it, but I love that it’s something that got other people excited!!

OH! I have another Ratchet & Clank question if anyone feels like helpin me out!
If the PS4 reboot was your first game, what did you like and dislike the most? or I guess your general feel :O
I’m trying to write more analysis notes, but it’s hard for me to treat it as its own game and not as a reboot :\ most of my opinions end up highlighting differences, but I want to know how it holds up for someone new.

YO ratchet and clank peoples! just kinda curious if anyone else played any of them out of order and how that worked out? like I skipped from deadlocked to crack in time without any issues, wondered if any others work out of order :O
…I’ve uhh been replaying them all and writing rambling notes on which games to rec for people looking to get into the series OTL hard to tell how much the continuity matters. Just writing for fun but I could probably wrangle it into something readable if anyone wanted XD
Hey there! I played RaCs 1, 2, 3, and Deadlocked as a kid, and after getting back into the series this year I’ve nearly finished Tools of Destruction (up to the last boss fight, but I know how the game ends because I’ve watched a playthrough of it), plus I’ve watched a playthrough of Quest for Booty, too. I didn’t play any of them out of order, mostly because I’m new to the Future series and wanted to get the full experience, but if you can skip a few games and still understand the story, that would be great to know since it’s hard to get a hold of physical copies of some of the older titles!
Also, I would love to read those rambling note of yours, readable or not - obviously I’m already into the series, but I’d still love to hear your take on continuity in the RaC universe :)
OH! my ramblings are more how I’d recommend games depending on the person rather than continuity. Like I wasn’t crazy about deadlocked but someone who wants more gun action would love it! That and noting accessibility things like subtitles, hard controls, or possible off jokes/content.
Continuity was just to know if they could comfortably be played out of order, and it looks like generally they can!…aside from nexus…probably need ToD for that XD
Also thanks everyone for your input!! :D love hearin this sorta stuff~

After what…3 years?? I’ve finally put up my comic Magical Printing: Magenta Ink! ❤️💙💛 along with the uh, partially finished second book :D
I’m hoping to pick it up again from the start, but until then here it is!
