Usually I follow the same basics mentioned here with flowing cloth animations, where that kind of flowing/windy animation follows a wave form. I tend to do this by eye, but if it’s a bit hard to wrap your head around, making up a little wave graphic can be helpful.

Here’s a quick example (there’s one frame in there somewhere that’s bugging me…but it’s fine for the example). When I animate these sort of things I keep in mind how the invisible wave looks, and how whatever it is is being pushed. I do a lot of this in my head, so it’s a tad tricky to explain…

This is the animation slowed down, it moves very slowly at the base, moving to quick and tapering at the end as it’s pulled by everything else.

And slowed with a wave added. The wave doesn’t exactly fit…but I’ve just drawn it badly :\ in the case of short animations I tend to have things follow the timing of the wave in a very linear pattern, but it looks nicer with extra frames added to add some easing as it moves up or down. Having it suddenly skip ahead a bit can work well for rougher movement or when multiple things are affecting the movement.
I find with flowing things it’s better to find examples you like and study the frames, it can get kind of abstract when working with shapes more complex than a pointed tube ^^’ but this principle generally carries through with a lot of moving things like capes, leaves and whatnot.
EDIT : If you need a reference wave to help, I’ve added one here!

Anonymous: How do you make your SU cards?? Like how are they printed to give it its look ?
The physical ones I sell? they’re just printed on a heavy, gloss stock :O I have them done at a printers, so other than that I wouldn’t know if there’s anything else to it ^^’

Anonymous: Are you planning to make gifs for default hawkes in the future? (Garrett and Marian)
I wasn’t planning to, I like keeping the cards for the player character ambiguous :) Might do it one day…but it’d still be a bit ambiguous…probably be the exact same card but with a little more detail on Hawke and in finery instead of armour ^^’

Anonymous: In college what classes did you take to learn everything you know ? All the animations and how to do opacity and layering what course taught this How many years of college did it take ?
I studied animation at RMIT for 3 years, that helped me improve my animations but isn’t how I learned about those sort of things!
I’ve been doing digital art for 10 years now, most of what I know is a combination of messing around and looking at how others work. Mainly the messing around, taking time to fiddle with programs and find out why something might not have worked, how to make it better, or just trying out new things :)

Anonymous: How did you do the link in one word thing in your tumblr description?? I been trying but it's hard 😫
Do you mean like this or this? when you make a post highlight the text, a little bar should pop up, click on the picture of a chain link, then you can add in the link you want :)
If for whatever reason that doesn’t work change the text editor to HTML and enter <a href=“add the link here”>and your words here</a> and that should give you some linked text.
