11. Poured silicone
12. Did I mention that I forgot to make the piece flat? ...a lot of the silicone went under it...
13. After cutting the piece out (luckily the individual bits weren't actually fully stuck together, so it came out fairly easy)
14. First test cast. There was a tiny bit of water in the mould, so there were giant air bubbles in it...the little bubbles are just a property of the resin
15. Testing acrylics and primers, no.3 was the best
16. Second casting, but with black pigment and metallic silver powder

19. Painting the bone areas
20. Finished piece after also painting light and dark areas on the metal parts

1.Collecting refs for size and design
2. Made some rough lines in Illustrator for proportion and placement
3. Printed it out at various sizes to check size, then started on the first bone
4. Used a scalpel to cut out all the etchings and cracks
5. Bones were cooked, started on the center and top piece
6. Sizing and level check, center piece was cooked
7. Texturing the latch bits with a scalpel
8. First bone attached~
9. All together and ready for the oven :D
10. Made a lego box to hold the silicone, and stuck the piece down with blu-tack

oh yeah…it was my birthday yesterday…fun times
…also I’m really tired and can’t be bothered animating (even though I felt like making this)…oh, and happy new year…again…
And I just remembered that I have a bunch of things I should upload and need to finish :| mmrrrrp.
